Saskatchewan New Pilot Program

To ease the labor requirements in Saskatchewan, a new pilot program “Hard-to-Fill skills” is going to launch in December 2021.

Eligible jobs under this program will require entry-level positions and will be provided with required on-job training.

Highest demanding sectors in Saskatchewan-

1. Healthcare
2. Manufacturing
3. Agriculture
4. Ag-tech
5. Construction
6. Hospitality, and
7. Retail.

The strong demand for labor in Saskatchewan is a great opportunity to apply for PR. Under this program, Saskatchewan will recruit talent around the world. Workers who get selected through the Saskatchewan Immigration Nomination Program will get support from their employers and communities.

Hospitality Saskatchewan President and CEO Jim Bence said-

“This pilot project is designed to attract talent and a great program for all sectors currently experiencing labour recruitment challenges in the province. While we always work hard to exhaust every opportunity to hire locally, we have to be creative to ensure we have the right labor supply to help our business and communities grow and thrive in Saskatchewan, something this very unique program will be especially helpful with post-COVID.”
